About Regenerative Supply Chains and Circular Economy

Aims and scope

Regenerative Supply Chains and Circular Economy (RSCCE) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice at the intersection of regenerative thinking, circular economy, supply chain management, logistics, operations management, and responsible business. The journal provides a platform for rigorous, impactful and interdisciplinary research that explores how organisations, value chains and broader ecosystems can move beyond sustainability towards regenerative approaches that create net-positive environmental, social and economic outcomes.

As global organisations confront interconnected challenges relating to climate change, biodiversity loss, resource scarcity, social inequality and supply chain disruption, there is growing recognition that incremental improvements in efficiency and harm reduction are insufficient. Regenerative approaches seek not only to minimise negative impacts but also to restore ecosystems, strengthen communities, enhance resilience and create shared value across stakeholders. The journal aims to support the development of this emerging research field by fostering scholarship that integrates circular economy principles with regenerative supply chain and operational practices.

The journal welcomes research that advances theory, informs practice and contributes to policy debates concerning the design, implementation, governance and evaluation of regenerative and circular systems. It encourages dialogue across disciplines including supply chain and operations management, sustainability, environmental science, economics, finance, public policy, technology studies and responsible management.

RSCE publishes original research, conceptual and theoretical papers, literature reviews, methodological contributions, case studies, policy analyses, practitioner perspectives and interdisciplinary scholarship. Contributions employing qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, modelling, simulation, action research and participatory approaches are encouraged.

The journal seeks research that contributes to the achievement of responsible, inclusive and resilient economic systems and supports global efforts relating to climate action, biodiversity restoration, responsible production and consumption, and sustainable development.

Topics covered by the journal include, but are not limited to:
