Purpose

The purpose of this paper is to provide an interview with Dan Tapscott, Chairman of nGenera Insight and founder and chairman of the international think tank New Paradigm before its acquisition by nGenera.

Findings

Don is an internationally sought writer, consultant and speaker on business strategy and organizational transformation and author of 13 widely read books about information technology in business and society, most recently Grown Up Digital: How the Net Generation is Changing Your World (October 2008). The book is the sequel to Growing Up Digital (1998), which established him as one of the leading thinkers about the Net Generation.

Provides strategic insights and practical thinking that have influenced some of the world's leading organizations.

Originality/value

This interview provides insights into the “Net Generation”, the new generation of workers who have embraced new technologies and are developing revolutionary ways of thinking, interacting and working, and discusses how we can best attract and engage a new workforce.
