International Leadership Association Global Conference: Leadership for Transformation

This conference is an opportunity to share and learn about new research, effective leadership practices, and proven teaching methods that support any of the many faces of transformation.

2009 Annual Conference of the Asia Pacific Academy of Business in Society

5-8 November 2009, Griffith Business School, Brisbane, Australia

The Griffith Business School will host the 2009 Asia Pacific Academy of Business in Society (APABIS) Conference from November 5-6 at South Bank,Brisbane, Australia.

The conference will take a forward perspective on partnerships between business, government and society and how each will play a role in addressing the key development challenges of the future.

Based around the theme “Finding Solutions to Global Problems through Stakeholder Engagement, New Social Partnerships and Strategic Alliances for a Sustainable Enterprise Economy”, the Conference will examine:

• the importance of cross-sectoral strategic alliances;

• how cross-sectoral alliances have become a key mechanism for achieving corporate sustainability and responsibility around the world;

• the growing role of these strategic alliances and stakeholder engagement in the Asia Pacific region as a whole;

• adding value to the international debate and practice of alliances for sustainable development; and

• ensuring insights are tailored to the specific contexts of practitioners,policy makers and educators in the Asia Pacific.
