Confirms that CEOs of top 100 companies tend to be male, 55‐years old, and were internally promoted at the age of 49 — 16% also hold the position of chairman of their companies. Makes much of the fact that a third of CEOs in the leading companies do not have any academic qualifications but that the new generation are better educated.
