Codel gets smart

CODEL International has received a Department of Industry Smart award, worth a mayamum of £150,000, for the development of a novel emission momtonng and control system.

The aim of CODELs project is to provide an automated system capable of reporting pollution emissions from a large number of locations back to a central point. This data will then be made available to parties including plant operators and environmental agencies. Considerable interest has already been shown m the project not only by organisations within the UK, but also by countries including China and Singapore.
