The role of awareness of circular economy’s concept in purchase of sustainable goods and access-based and collaborative consumption – Porto case Available to Purchase

Elvira Vieira holds a PhD in Applied Economics, University of Santiago de Compostela. She is Professor and member of the Scientific Council at Institute of Marketing Management between 2007 and 2009, and Invited Professor at Minho University between 2009 and 2012. She is Professor at Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo and Coordinating Professor at ISAG – European Business School since 2009. He is General Director at ISAG since 2012, Researcher in UNIAG and Scientific Coordinator of Research Center in Business Sciences and Tourism (CICET – FCVC). In 2009, she won 1st prize winner for research of the “Catedra da Euroregion Galicia – Norte of Portugal” and President of the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation Galicia – North of Portugal, from 2010 to 2012.

Ana Pinto Borges holds a PhD in Economics, Faculty of Economics, University of Porto from 2009. Since 2010 she is the Coordinating Professor at ISAG – European Business School specializing in the areas of Economics, Management and Finance, and since 2015 Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Business Management and President of the Pedagogical Council of ISAG. She is Scientific Coordinator of Research Centre in Business Sciences and Tourism (CICET – FCVC) since 2021 and coordinated the ISAG Research Centre (NIDISAG) between 2015 and 2021. Since 2018, she is a Researcher at the Centre for Research in Organizations, Markets and Industrial Management (COMEGI). She supervised two PhD theses and is now supervising other two, in addition to having supervised more than 40 master’s theses. She published more than 180 publications (around 120 indexed in Scopus/WoS databases) in journals/book chapters/proceedings and five books (three indexed in Scopus). She is Associate Editor at the Eurasian Business Review (indexed by Scopus/WoS – Q1) and editor and one of the founding members of the European Journal of Applied Business and Management (EJABM). She founded, integrated the organizer and scientific committees and did the co-editing of the proceedings of International Conference in Applied Business and Management (ICABM – 5 eds since 2016), International Workshop in Tourism and Hospitality Management (IWTHM – 3 eds since 2017) and that of the Accounting and Taxation (IWAT – 3 eds since 2021). All these academic events have been indexed or are in evaluation by WoS and by EBSCO, among others. Furthermore, she is the coordinator and co-author of several applied projects financed by external entities (companies, municipalities, among others). She is Economist at the Portuguese Health Regulatory Authority since 2010 with the main function of carrying out sectoral studies and issuing opinions in the scope of access, quality and competition. She is also member of the Associação Portuguesa de Economia da Saúde (since 2005).

Paula Lopes Rodrigues completed her PhD in Business Sciences in 2008 at the University of Porto, Faculty of Economics, and her Master’s Degree in Economics in 2001 at the University of Porto, Faculty of Economics. She is a Researcher at COMEGI (Centre for Research in Organizations, Markets and Industrial Management) and Associate Professor at Lusíada University – Porto. She has published numerous articles in specialized journals. In her professional activities, she has interacted with more than 20 collaborators in co-authoring scientific papers. The author is no longer affiliated with BRU-Iscte – Business Research Unit, Lisbon, Portugal.

Ana Maria Reis completed doctoral studies in Economics at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra, in 2017, with a thesis titled “Essays on prevention of diseases related to alcohol and tobacco use: A contribution to a financially sustainable NHS”. In 2011, she completed her master’s degree in the same area and Faculty, with a thesis titled “Waiting lists and sustainability of health policies in Portugal”. She is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the ISAG – European Business School, since 2019, and a Researcher at the Research Center in Business Sciences and Tourism (CICET – FCVC), since 2021. Economist at the Portuguese Health Regulatory Authority (ERS) since 2011, and since 2022 she is the Director of the Department of Studies and Health Evaluation, with main responsibilities in the area of economic regulation, competition and quality of health care. Her areas of interest are health economics, health management, public health, health policy, public involvement and social responsibility, with peer-reviewed scientific publications in reputable indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science databases journals. She has been actively participating in and presenting papers at various national and international conferences, namely, ISQUA’s 34th Conference, 21st Annual Conference of the Italian Health Economics Association, XXXVI Jornadas de Economia de la Salud, 10th Annual Meeting of the Portuguese Economic Journal, Health Economists’ Study Group (HESG) Lancaster Conference 2015. Likewise Conference of Portuguese Economic Journal, Jornadas de Economia de la Salud, Portuguese Conferência Nacional de Economia da Saúde (CNES), Annual Conference of the Italian Health Economics Association – Regulation Conferences – 6th International Regulators’ Conference, 1.º Encontro das Entidades Reguladoras Portuguesas – Quality in Health Care – 34th ISQUA’s The International Society for Quality in Health Care.

Svitlana Ostapenko is a PhD student in Management, Faculty of Economics, University of Porto. She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from Taurida National Vernadsky University, Ukraine. She is the Executive Coordinator of Research Center in Business Sciences and Tourism (CICET – FCVC).
