Vitronics Soltec now offers an integrated exhaust stack filter for its XPM Series reflow soldering systems (Plate 7). This option filters flux-laden exhaust gases before they pass into the facility's exhaust system, where they can accumulate. It also minimizes release of contaminants to the environment.

The Integrated exhaust stack filter works in conjunction with Vitronics Soltec's FFC™ (flux management system). In operation, flux-laden gases are concentrated and ejected from the oven's process tunnel through special zone outlets. The integrated exhaust stack filter then condenses flux particles through mixing with ambient air, prior to the gas passing through the filter. The integrated exhaust stack filter uses standard filter elements readily available worldwide.
