Quad Systems Corporation recently promoted Craig C. Ramsey to senior vice president, marketing.
As senior vice president,marketing, Ramsey directs marketing communications, and develops and implements all product line strategies at Quad. He also oversees Quad projects with major OEMs and contractors. In addition, Ramsey represents Quad on the SMEMA Council of the IPC and serveson the APEX 2000 trade show marketing committee.
Ramsey's new position includes worldwide travel to present technical papers, oversee trade shows,train sales associates and assess the needs of the various markets that Quad serves.
Ramsey joined Quad in 1989 as an engineering manager. He went on to serve as director of engineering and later as vice president, engineering. As vice president, engineering, he developed the "Q" series family, one of the company's core product lines. In 1994, Quad named Ramsey vice president, product assurance, responsible for design testing and quality assurance programs. Quad named Ramsey vice president,marketing in 1996.
Previously, Ramsey held various engineering positions at Kulicke and Soffa Industries, where he worked for six years.
Ramsey earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. He holds a master's degree and a doctorate in biophysics from The Ohio State University,Columbus, Ohio.
