SMTA announces their support of SMART Group at Nepcon UK 2008

SMART Group welcomes the exclusive participation of SMTA, Surface Mount Technology Association, at the 40th Annual Nepcon show to be held at the Birmingham NEC on 29 April-1 May 2008.

For over 20 years SMTA have been developing solutions in electronics assembly. The SMTA membership is an international network of professionals who build skills, share practical experience and develop solutions in electronics assembly technologies, including microsystems, emerging technologies, and related business operations.

Peter Swanson, Vice President of SMART Group, in announcing the exciting news, confirmed that the technical presentations from SMTA will be topical and very relevant to today's manufacturing challenges. “There has been a long& close synergy between SMTA and SMART Group and we have proudly cooperated together in the past. Early in December this year Dr Denis Barbini of Vitronics-Soltec, a member of the SMTA Board of Directors, presented details on the iNEMI International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative project at a SMART Group event at the Dolby Labs UK manufacturing facility.”
