– Examples of real events and quotations of how ordinary people can be discouraged from corruption.

– Corruption may never be eliminated totally but more can be done to limit its reach.
Originality/value
– An overview of the fight against corruption. The author's observation is based on the political and economic events that have taken place in Africa in the recent past.
