Gateshead MBC's Libraries and Arts Service has developed new services and participated in a range of innovative projects with the aim of improving access to services for all the members of the local community. Much experience has been gained during this time and this has been incorporated into subsequent projects. This article aims to give an overview of the initiatives with which Gateshead has been involved, and planned developments for the future.
