PIH acquires leading heat treatment company

PIH, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CRC-Evans Inc., following their management buy out from Weatherford Enterra in June 1997, has announced the first of several planned acquisitions.

PIH have recently acquired Didcot Heat Treatment Limited, one of the UK's leading heat treatment companies. Didcot, operating from their base in Oxfordshire, are in the process of completing one of the world's largest heat treatment projects at Sizewell Power Station. PIH intends to rapidly expand Didcot's expertise through PIH's and CRC-Evans's operations worldwide.

Bert Ramsden, who recently joined PIH, will head up the new division. He has extensive experience in the heat treatment field, having managed companies in the UK, Japan, Germany and more recently South Africa. Bert was also managing director of Oilfield Inspection Services plc and BIX Limited.
