Introduction to Concorde: A brief review of the Concorde and its prospects

IN order to keep this introductory article on the Concorde supersonic airliner within reasonable bounds and within the general sphere of interest of readers of this journal, I propose to begin with a brief description of the aeroplane itself and an outline of its development history, and then to deal rather more fully with the engineering organisation which has been built up on this major bi‐national project.
