THE flight deck of the VFW 614 is designed for a crew of two members and ICAO Category I operation with adequate space for extension to ICAO Category II. It satisfies all the requirements of commercial air traffic in the future, and the pilots have a minimum amount of work with maximum cockpit comfort in spite of the increased work load in short‐haul operation. The control levers and instruments are arranged so that they can be operated and read by both crew members.
