Marconi Avionics has now commenced delivery of four prototype autostabiliser systems for the McDonnell Douglas YAV‐8B VTOL aircraft. Picture shows pitch and roll auto‐stabilisation computer (right), together with a set of ground support equipment. To date, two sets of auto‐stabiliser equipment have been delivered to St. Louis, Mo., together with GSE, comprising test set (centre) break‐out boards and control motor dummy load (left). Remaining two sets of airborne equipment will be shipped in June from Marconi Avionics Rochester, England, facility.
