Liège brake and wheel facility

Keywords Dunlop, Landing gear

Dunlop Aviation Services(DAS) has opened a wheel and brake maintenance facility at Liège Airport to improve its service to customers operating from airports in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg and France. It also makes possible the extension of its services in Eastern Europe

Bob Davies, director and general manager of DAS, selected Liège because of its excellent access by road which is the preferred method for delivery and collection of most brakes and wheels for repair and maintenance. The airport also has excellent access by rail and the continental river/canal system. Handling costs are reduced and closer relationships with mainland European customers can be maintained.

DAS Liège can be reached on 00 32 4 234 8472; Fax: 00 321 4 234 8521; or Internet: Terry.Griffin@Dunlop.Aviation.Co.UK

This new facility integrates with DAS Heathrow which provides a routine wheel and brake maintenance and AOG service on a 24 hour basis. DAS has built its reputation on its long-term relationships by meeting individual customer needs.

More extensive repair facilities are provided at the DAS main plant in Coventry including airframe and engine hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic equipment. DAS is FAR 145 approved by FAA as a repair station.
