A report analysing and comparing the financial performances of 99 leading UK based companies in the food processing and packaging machinery industry over a three‐year period to September 1985 shows that improved fortunes are being enjoyed. Renewed sales and profit growth, along with the more rationalised structure of the industry suggests a good position from which to move ahead.
