TN10. Aqualis technologies to solve drinking water distribution

problems

Water supply of urban and rural areas in industrial or developing countries is still a problem and conventional technologies for water treatment and distribution are not strong enough to keep the problem under control. Network qualities, the nature of pipes, breaks, intermittent distribution services, network servicing and maintenance, and pollution of groundwater are among the more frequently occurring problems.

Studies have therefore been conducted to develop appropriate Aqualis equipment at the household, building and community levels. Using reliable least-cost techniques such as micro-filtration, GAC filtration and UV sterilization, new domestic, mobile water purification and water treatment units have been produced.
