The Vyasi dam in Garhwal Himalaya, India envisages the construction of a 61m high concrete dam. The stability studies of slopes around the dam reservoir have been taken up to identify hazard prone slopes. For that purpose geological mapping and Landslide Hazard Zonation mapping of the reservoir area were carried out on 1:50, 000 scale. Percentage distribution of various sub-categories of individual causative factors in the study area have also been studied. Landslide Hazard Zonation map shows seven high hazard facets.
