In this chapter, Dr. Cajete offers the holistic context in which Indigenous-based learning exists. He contrasts this method with the relatively disconnected approach typical in American educational approaches. He calls for Indian voices to collaboratively bring forth a return to this holistic orientation, closing with 24 elements which characterize Indigenous education processes.
