You have heard these remarks in the classroom and many more like them. Just what is the best design for the mathematics classroom? What comes the closest to an ideal set-up? The Society was very pleased indeed with the response of the mathematics teachers in the province to its request for advice in the matter of planning school facilities. In spite of a very short notice given to teachers, we received replies, many of which were very detailed, from Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Yorkton, North Battleford, and Assiniboia.
The following is a report submitted by your Society to the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation for inclusion in their booklet to the Saskatchewan School Facilities Council. We thought it would be of interest to all mathematics teachers.
