In the past couple of years, technologies have emerged as the success mantra for business. The nature and role of technology has been expanded, and it is being used to improve all the functions of an organisation. However, recent advancement in computing technologies came up with innovative solutions, and therefore, technologies such as mimicking are gaining momentum. This chapter provides a comprehensive review of the evolution of mimicking technologies, its types and application in retailing. The study further suggests the possible ways to leverage mimicking technologies within the retail set-up to address the complex and challenging retail issues. This chapter used the qualitative approach to reach on a conclusion.
