Trust is a core social resource for schools, but due to the absence of a valid and reliable scale to measure its presence in students, little is known about its nature and function with student role groups. Our purpose in this chapter was to conceptualize and validate a scale to measure student trust perceptions of teachers. Findings suggest that the resultant Student Trust Scale is a valid and reliable measure that can be used in future research.
