Directions:
Read the story “The Little Notice” from Chicken Soup for the Kid’s Soul. The story discusses a child’s realization that honesty is the best policy. Upon reading the story, have the students remember a time when the lesson of honesty was brought home for them. Allow students to share their memories briefly to help them get their thoughts organized. Give the students about 5 minutes to write freely about their past experience with learning an honesty lesson. When time is called, allow a few of the students to share their stories.
