Abstract
Connective leadership refers to a repertoire of related behaviors that individuals use to solve complex challenges enabling the achievement of mutually beneficial goals among diverse individuals and groups. It is a model that speaks to the changing conditions of leadership in a world requiring new strategies for those who are willing to take risks to move beyond the ordinary. The connective leadership model cultivates the four A’s of good leadership practice; authenticity, accountability, accessibility, and adaptability. This chapter explores the history and context around the connective leadership theory, defines the theory, and concludes with strengths and opportunities of the theory.
