Abstract
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education is distinctly shaping the future of teaching and learning pedagogy. This chapter underscores the transformative potential of AI in education by scrutinizing the applications through AI-driven chatbots, virtual classrooms and personalized learning systems. These AI technologies enhance students’ learning experiences and facilitate teaching tasks, seamlessly. Furthermore, this chapter denotes the past practices in teaching and learning pedagogy with suggestions for embodying AI in education. The benefits of AI incorporation include encouraging critical thinking, enabling cross-disciplinary learning and supporting collaborative projects. Additionally, this chapter also discovered the challenges of implementing AI in educational realms due to ethical concerns, privacy issues and extensive training requirements. The deliberations of AI in education highlight the importance of careful strategic planning at the managerial level to ensure AI–human incorporation is symmetrical to effectively address the inherent challenges while harnessing AI capability in education.
