Inter-personal relationships inherently involve conflict, which is neither inevitable nor inherently evil.1 Contradictions lead to a situation of conflict and conflicts can occur at different levels based on their extent, intensity, and impact. By recognizing the various levels of conflict, effective strategies can be developed to maximize their benefits while minimizing negative repercussions. The concept of conflict is multidimensional and can exist at different levels. It is vital to recognize that disputes can occur at numerous levels simultaneously. Broadly, a conflict can occur at a personal, group, or organizational level and can be of the following types. Fig. 3 describes the various levels of conflict that can occur in an organization.
