The recent installation of two additional Series Six-D moving probe test systems at Via Systems Tamworth Ltd, Special Products Division, UK, brings to five their total number of Probot testers. In addition to the new system sales, Probot is supplying a comprehensive package of upgrades and ongoing support for the company's existing testers. This means all of Via Systems' MPTs will operate to the same level of performance as a new Probot Series Six-D, both in test capability and user interface.

Probot's latest offline Test Management Software, and a RAID fault verification system, support the five MPTs. Via Systems expects to turn around typical test lots of 1-50 panels in as little as an hour from the time they enter the test area, a significant contribution to achieving on-time delivery for short lead time orders.
