These include core areas such as digital, statistical, adaptive, nonlinear, and multidimensional signal processing, as well as modern approaches like machine learning, sparse representations, and randomized algorithms. The journal also addresses practical application domains including audio, speech, image, biomedical signals, communications, and sensor systems, along with methods for filtering, compression, reconstruction, classification, and estimation.

Accepted manuscript types
Foundations and Trends in Signal Processing publishes exclusively long (± 100 pages) review and tutorial papers. For full details read the Editorial Aims of the journal. These criteria are strictly applied by the editorial board and your paper must meet them to be considered.
Original research papers will not be considered for publication and we will not acknowledge receipt.
