Quotes warnings from the third annual State of HR survey carried our recently in the UK that reducing the workforce and increasing the working hour and workloads of those who remain, will lead to increased stress and sickness and lower employee commitment. Looks at why this could happen and discusses what employers could do to mitigate it, including the option of offering more flexible working or giving employees more autonomy.
