Pathlore promises its Learning Management System will run vendors' courses "out of the box"Keywords:Learning, Technology

One vendor's online courses often fail to work with another vendor's learning management system. This has long been the Achilles heel of corporate e-learning initiatives. That is why Pathlore, one of the world's fastest growing and most widely deployed e-learning management system providers, is now able to guarantee that its customers can plug and play multiple vendors' courseware with Pathlore Learning Management System.

"Pathlore has instituted a rigorous technical certification process that ensures courses will work seamlessly with Pathlore Learning Management System",said David Evangelisti, Pathlore's vice-president of marketing. "We have also established a dedicated content integration group specifically focused on working with content partners."

The newly established Pathlore Content Partner Network is the industry's most substantive content partnership program to date.

Pathlore is establishing relationships with industry-leading content vendors and testing their courseware to ensure it works out of the box with Pathlore Learning Management System. These courses address a wide range of corporate content needs, including the high-demand areas of information technology and business skills.

The resulting Pathlore Content Network encompasses some 5,000 courses in 12 languages from NETg, SkillSoft, Coastal Training Technologies Corp., Element K,Instruction Set, McGraw-Hill Lifetime Learning and MindLeaders. Other vendors are now signing up for certification.

According to Simon Hamilton, managing director of Pathlore in the UK and northern Europe:

Pathlore customers using these courses can be confident they won't need programmers or consultants to make their courseware and learning management system interoperate. Instead, they can instantly deliver Pathlore Content Partner Network courses to employees, customers and partners through the Pathlore Learning Management System.

They can also:

  • seamlessly track learner progress;

  • analyse results; and

  • create comprehensive reports on all learning activities.

Meanwhile, Pathlore will continue to develop custom courses for customers who want them.

This is the case with our participation in the Pathlore Content Partner Network. This co-operative partnership will help our mutual customers move their businesses ahead further, faster.

As the digital backbone for corporate learning, Pathlore Learning Management System lets companies plan, deliver and manage e-learning – including instructor-led, Web-based and live online collaborative events – then assess learning performance by student, group, line of business or across the entire extended enterprise. The system also lets companies tightly manage their organisational skills and competencies; employees assess themselves online and then go directly to prescribed online or classroom learning.

The Pathlore Learning Management System costs from £30,000 for a 500-user licence. For product/technical information, call Pathlore on +44(0)1442 232345, or visit their Web site at: www.pathlore.com
