British Airways opts for e-learning

British Airways (BA) employees are to get e-learning in regulatory topics, including health and safety and the carriage of dangerous goods.

The training materials are being produced by Tata Interactive Systems (TIS)– one of three preferred suppliers of custom-built e-learning materials for the company's 50,000 staff. BA made the announcement after a selection process over several months.

Elaine Wilson, BA's e-learning manager, commented: "BA has a large and geographically-dispersed workforce, which makes e-learning a highly practical and cost-effective way of delivering the knowledge and skills that we need to keep BA as one of the world's top airlines.

"In addition to commissioning a number of new custom built e-learning materials, we are also revising and consolidating our existing custom-built e-learning courses, with the help of our preferred suppliers."
