Almost 50 individual assessments, designed to test employees of UK health insurer Bupa on the company’s products and processes, were delivered in less than two weeks.
Bupa developed a competency-assessment e-learning program in collaboration with workplace e-learning specialist Brightwave. Almost 20 hours of assessments were designed and delivered in fewer than ten days, using a best-practice development processes.
“With regularly changing requirements, this type of rapid development enables us to keep our employees on top of any changes at the time of need,”explained Clare Shell, e-learning manager at Bupa UK Health Insurance. “The contractor’s knowledge of our systems, branding, users and functionality enabled a smooth transition from design to final delivery and launch of the assessments.”
The assessments were created using an authoring tool named Bild, which Bupa has licensed to enable just-in-time development and amendments to the program.
“Rapid development demands a collaborative approach. With Bupa we were able to work flexibly and efficiently in partnership to meet challenging, but necessary, targets,” commented Virginia Barder, Brightwave director of projects.
