A three-step program is helping to develop mangers at fast-growing beauty company Oriflame Cosmetics. Around 300 Oriflame managers around the world have attended the program since it was launched in 2006.

The company chose training firm Krauthammer as partner for the Oriflame Academy Step II, named Team Leadership Training, which aims to deepen managers’skills in management, leadership, coaching and the core processes within Oriflame.

Per Cedergren, Krauthammer managing partner, said: “We designed a program to fit Oriflame’s needs, namely to coach the managers to be more effective team leaders by mastering leadership, communication and coaching skills and as a result to create one strong Oriflame culture worldwide.”

“We operate worldwide, and the Oriflame Academy is an excellent way to create a strong feeling of being one company, with our shared values of passion, togetherness and spirit. We wanted to create a forum for strategic people development and give our managers an opportunity for sharing best practice,”said Oriflame people-development manager Ulrika Emtell-Lanzén.

“Oriflame Academy has grown into a true center of management development, creating leaders who are truly the center of positive energy and ensuring that Oriflame will be known as the most attractive employer,”commented executive vice-president of global HR, Rolf Berg.

Step III is a three-week program spread over one year, targeted at present and future leaders at Oriflame, with an overall framework of building a robust leadership style. It includes group sessions, individual sessions and individual and peer coaching. The program started with the executive committee and is being introduced to other top managers this year.

Oriflame has more than 3 million sales consultants operating in over 60 countries.
