The engineering option

Present system of craft training ‐ The 1YOTJ training is broad based and designed to be a base for the much vaunted transferable skills training. Currently a trainee receives training in Milling, Fitting, Turning, Fabrication, Electrics, Drawing Office as well as concentrating on his specialist skill for about four months. Modules are the same and their standard approximately so throughout the county. The latter depends on the trainer and the individual ITB adviser.
