Professor Lady williams is very persuasive and she makes it look so simple and so rosy! A division of the Occupational Guidance Service specialising in the younger age group sounds high‐powered, streamlined and unbeatable ‐ but just about as impersonal, faceless and hygienic as a division of the so‐and‐so organisation. The prospect she offers to us is likely to be as inspiring to young people of 14–22 as a visit to the usually dismal local employment exchange, unless the strong educational stake in an Occupational Guidance Service is maintained for this age group.
