Job enrichment, as a concept, has been around for some time: it has enjoyed an enthusiastic and sympathetic reception amongst trainers everywhere. But what has been missing, so far, is hard information on how firms have put the principles into operation in practice. This book is important in that it presents exactly that type of hard information in the form of case studies drawn from eight companies — six British, one Swedish and one German. In addition there is brief reference to similar work carried out in a further six companies.
