Current digitisation programmes have not covered humanities and social sciences as well as STM. Thus it is welcome news that 5,000 full text journals are being made available via EBSCO Publishing to 39 countries, expanding to 60 during 2002. This is being funded through the e-IFL programme which is a joint project between The Open Society Institute and EBSCO and provides the service to countries covered by the SOROS Foundation Network.
