The Library of Congress information systems are now open to public use via telnet, and this opens a great wealth of other information sources, as well as the famed Library of Congress catalogs. The system is complex but quite powerful, and well worth any librarian's time learning to use. It isn't tricky for anyone with DIALOG experience (or any other online searching system that uses set manipulation) to use and provides a fair amount of online help during the search process.
