Linkages between lean six sigma, green manufacturing, circular economy and operational performance in manufacturing organizations of a developing country

Arsalan Fayyaz is a research scholar in the School of Management at NWPU University Xi’an, China. He has earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from NED University of Engineering and Technology. My critical research areas include lean manufacturing, kaizen and layout design. He has around seven years of professional experience, including approximately four years in the textile industry and three years in different sectors such as the feed industry NGO, and he is an experienced trainer in PITAC, Karachi, Pakistan.

ChenGuang Liu is a Professor and Dean of Humanities, Economics, and Law at Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China. He has done his Bachelor’s and Master’s programs at the Xi’an University of Technology, China, and the Doctoral Program at Tohoku University. He is an Academic Visitor at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. His research interests are sustainable operations, decision analysis and seru production.

Yan Xu holds a Bachelor of International Economics and Trade from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, and a Master of Business Systems and a PhD in information systems from Monash University, Australia. She is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Management, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China. Her research area includes sustainable development, waste management, intelligent decision-making and business intelligence.

Ammara Farooq is pursuing her PhD in Management Science and Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China. She has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Central Punjab, Pakistan, and then a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Central Punjab, Pakistan. She was a research assistant at UET Lahore from 2014 till 2023. She has professional experience in teaching for around 15 years in a Public university in Pakistan in the field of management artificial intelligence. Her current research areas include big data analytics and green manufacturing.

Selim Ahmed is an Associate Professor in the World School of Business, World University of Bangladesh Uttara, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is editor of various journals such as The TQM Journal (Emerald Publishing), Journal of Open Innovation: Technology, Market, and Complexity (Elsevier, Scopus Q1), LBS Journal of Management and Research (Emerald Publishing), International Journal of Business and Systems Research (Indexing in Scopus) and Malaysian Journal of Consumer and Family Economics (Indexing in Scopus).
