During the 1980s many organisations around the world adopted the total quality control concept, and many successes and failures have been reported. The process of TQC implementation in a South East Asian division of a multinational corporation producing electronic components, the evaluation programme and the results achieved, are described. The need to develop TQC as an integral part of the organisational corporate culture is discussed.
