This research aims to develop a Smart Quality Management (SQM) model in Industry 5.0 that encompasses various organizational dimensions and is evaluated in a Decomposed Fuzzy (DF) environment. In this regard, first, the key dimensions and indicators of SQM in Industry 5.0 are identified, and then, by integrating these concepts, a comprehensive view of SQM is presented. Next, using Multi-Criteria Decision-Making methods (MCDM) in a fuzzy environment, the relative and overall importance of criteria and enabling factors are analyzed, and focus priorities are determined for the effective implementation of SQM. The ultimate goal of this model is to create a balance between technological advances and human values and contribute to sustainable development by promoting quality management practices and improving the quality of life.
A systematic literature review (SLR) was performed using Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar to identify the dimensions and indicators of the SQM model. The Total Interpretive Structural Modeling (TISM) method was utilized to construct the conceptual model. This research, conducted in the polymer manufacturing sector, evaluated the importance and weighting of the SQM model using DF-SWARA while investigating the relationships among criteria in DF-DEMATEL.
The findings highlight “leadership” as the most fundamental component in the SQM model, while the results underscore that “creating smart infrastructure by promoting digital interaction and formulating smart planning” holds the highest significance, representing the connection between industry and society.
The novelty of this research lies in its application of smart technologies and Industry 5.0 concepts to QM. To improve MCDM methods, this study introduces the DF-SWARA and DF-DEMATEL methods for the first time. These methods were developed to test the SQM model. These findings provide managers with a comprehensive, human-centered understanding, enabling them to enhance the quality of life through smart technologies, products, and services, while promoting the principles of Society 5.0, global justice, and equality.
