A group of universities in the regions of Hamburg (Germany), Greater Copenhagen (Denmark) and South-West Sweden have agreed to cooperate on a new consortium focusing on the environment. The consortium, called "Hamburg-Öresund Universities Environment Group) involves 18 universities in the three countries and aims at undertaking research and projects on matters related to environment and sustainable development. The consortium is funded by the Hamburg Ministry of Science and Technology and by the Öresund University. It is led by TuTech and a regional meeting will take place in Hamburg in September to quick-start the first joint initiatives. Further information at: http://www.projekte.org/oresund
