A man with a mission is Ghassan Matar, managing director of Geodetic Technology International, a company that is beginning to make its mark in rapid prototyping and machine tool applications. But that is just the beginning. The hexapod technology used in its machines can be turned equally to any application requiring a volumetric repeatability of 10µm at the working end, and the end effector can be a milling cutter, a gripper, a water jet cutter, a laser or other device.
