SMC announced a new initiative with Ohio based Zaytran Incorporated. Zaytran specialises in the design and manufacture of synchronous and asynchronous grippers, and linear straight actuators which SMC will be marketing in the UK.
Series XRAY long stroke robotic grippers are designed for applications requiring the gripper to handle items with a wide size variance without the need to change tools. For example the handling of a range of automotive wheels (from 14 to 17in) where the gripper will position the wheel within 0.025mm so that the wheel can be precisely loaded into a lathe for machining without tooling being changed.
A Zaytran XRAY-1250-200
The XRAY is available in a range of strokes from 50mm to 200mm, and the gripping force range from 450N to 1250N from each jaw.
