Adept Technology, a leading provider of intelligent vision-guided robotics and global robotics services, has announced its two newest packaging robots. The Adept Cobra s850 SCARA and the Adept Quattro s650H (Figure 1) parallel robots are the newest robots in the company’s full line of packaging automation products.

The Adept Cobra s850 robot is a high-payload SCARA mechanism designed to handle heavier packaged goods. It features a longer Z-stroke or reach for more flexible case and carton loading in packaging applications. The Adept Quattro s650H is the company’s newest parallel robot designed for stringent hygienic environments. The robot is ideal for safe food-handling applications and is designed to handle parts up to 6 kg.
