Kathryn Haynes is a Professor of Accounting at Northumbria University, UK, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Her research focusses on the role of accounting in society in relation to equality, social responsibility, sustainability and accountability. She has published widely on issues relating to accounting and gender, identity and its relationship with gender, the body and embodiment within organisations, the conduct of the professions and professional services firms, sustainability and the circular economy. She is a proponent of reflexive research methodologies, especially autoethnography, narrative, oral history and ethnography.
