This study intends to examine the enhancement of environmental consciousness via interactive media on websites that provide feedback to students.
The experiment utilized a single-group pretest-posttest design, using a sample of 111 students from Jakarta, selected by a purposive sampling methodology.
The feedback incorporated in each interactive web-based learning material enhances consciousness regarding environmental issues. Furthermore, the elements that constitute environmental consciousness – cognitive, affective and conative – have also seen an increase due to the feedback incorporated into each interactive web-based learning resource.
The originality of this study lies in its focused examination of the feedback approach within web-based learning environments, distinctly setting it apart from traditional and other digital instructional methods. Unlike conventional classroom feedback, which is often delayed and generalized, the feedback in web-based learning is immediate, personalized and interactive, enabling learners to engage dynamically with environmental content. This approach leverages technology to provide timely, formative feedback that adapts to individual learner needs, fostering more profound understanding and sustained motivation.
