The journal has instituted a new section to broaden the professional voices included in our conversation and offer a less formal venue for character educators who might not otherwise publish in an academic journal. Voices will be a forum for character educators in various professional positions to share their insight, their encouragement, and their ideas with others committed to the improvement of children’s environments, children’s development, and the children themselves. We invite submissions from teachers, school administrators, counselors, educational consultants and others who are engaged in the practice of character education. Ideally, we would like to publish advice on and examples of best practices, and we will give priority to conceptually elaborated methods and innovative models. We hope the inclusion of Voices in the JRCE will bring added richness of experience to the search for effective methods for promoting the development of character in children and adolescents.
