World Valuation Congress

In this issue, we bring you five papers that were presented at the eighth World Valuation Congress held in Australia last year. In addition we have two academic papers and a practice briefing all on the theme of valuation methods and process.

The World Valuation Congress was first held in Cambridge, UK in 1984 and was the first really independent forum to offer a platform for ideas and thoughts within the valuation profession. Many of these ideas have since been absorbed into the fabric of our business and we have noticeably moved on as a learned profession.

Below is a short report on the proceedings, but the five papers presented in this issue capture the theme and exposition of the congress. We hope that you find them interesting and stimulating.
